INDIA
Indigenous atomic clock
v The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has developed an indigenous atomic clock that will be used in navigation satellites to measure precise location data.
v It is being developed by the Ahmedabad-based Space Applications Centre (SAC). 
India and Guatemala signed MOU
v India and Guatemala have signed a pact for strengthening diplomatic cooperation through Respective Foreign Service Institutes in the educational field.
v The agreement was recently inked after a meeting between Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and his Guatemala counterpart, Jafeth Cabrera Franco in Guatemala City.
v Both the countries agreed to support each other’s candidature for Non-Permanent Membership in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Guatemala will support India’s candidature for UNSC membership for 2021-22 while New Delhi will do so for 2031-32 for Guatemala.
Digital India Internship Scheme
v Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched the website of Digital India Internship Scheme in New Delhi.
v The internship is an opportunity for a student to secure first hand and practical work experience under the guidance of qualified and experienced Supervisor and Mentor.

v Pradeep Kumar Sinha, has been appointed the new Cabinet Secretary of India
v Nikol Pashinian has become the new Prime Minister of Armenia 
v Carlos Alvarado has been sworn-in as the new President of Costa Rica 
v Google has appointed Nitin Bawankule as the country head for its cloud business in India. 
WORLD
v India has been ranked 4th out of 25 nations in the Asia Pacific region listed on the Lowy Institute Asia Pacific Power Index. 

CONFERENCES
UNPCAP
v The third edition of the United Nations Peacekeeping Course for African Partners (UNPCAP) was inaugurated in New Delhi to build and enhance the capacity of the African Troop Contributing Countries to the UN.
v The UNPCAP sessions will be held from May 7-25.
