Digital literacy programme
v Social networking giant Facebook has partnered
with National Commission for Women (NCW) to launch a digital literacy programme
in collaboration with the Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF).
Online analytical tool
v The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has
launched an online analytical tool to facilitate closer monitoring of the flow
and utilization of foreign contributions received by various organisations
registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 2010.

v Assamese Singer Zubeen Garg will be honoured
with the ‘Hero to Animals Award’ from People for the Ethical Treatment of
Animals (PETA) India for his recent appeal to end animal sacrifice at the
Kamakhya Temple in Assam.
