The draft National Digital
Communications Policy 2018 has been released by the Department of Telecom
(DoT).
Three
major missions which it aims to achieve by 2022:

To create robust digital communications.
ü
Propel India under which the government
aims to harness the power of emerging digital technologies, including 5G,
artificial intelligence (AI), Internet Of Things (IoT), etc.
ü
Secure India which aims to safeguard
the digital sovereignty of India with a focus on ensuring individual autonomy
and choice, data ownership, privacy and security.

ü The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has organised

ü The workshops are part of Rashtriya
Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, a
rural-centric campaign that started on the 14th of last month, the birth
anniversary of BR Ambedkar.

WORLD
v World Anti-Doping
Agency (WADA) report
India has been ranked joint-sixth in the list of doping
violations with 69 cases, same as that of Russia, according to World
Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) report for samples collected in 2016.
India improved its
position to sixth after being joint-third for three consecutive years from 2013
to 2015.
